Overview

Direct IME is looking for a Clerical Coordinator (internally called a Quality Assurance Coordinator) to join our team!

The Quality Assurance Coordinators assist with the overall and day to day operations of the department, ensuring that all reports are received and delivered to the client in a timely manner.  

The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

 

  • Monitors reports inbox.
  • Review and confirm report/file due dates.
  • Report processing, review, formatting, and sending of final reports to clients and assessors.
  • Ensures that the appropriate reports have been submitted (ie. Appropriate number of reports, addressing correct benefits, etc) and that all questions have been addressed.
  • Resolve any questions or concerns raised either internally or externally (clients) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote effective and efficient utilization of company resources.
  • Participate in various educational and or training activities as required.
  • Ensures the content, format, and professional appearance of the reports are of the highest quality and in compliance with company standards.
  • Working with dictation companies to ensure the reports are transcribed and send in timely manner
  • Escalates report issues or concerns to management as required.
  • Ensure all medical records and reports are properly documented and saved in the appropriate location. (examples LAT, consent form etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet etc. is necessary to carry out all job duties in a comprehensible and efficient manner. Must possess strong tendencies for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high stress environment along with ability to multi-task, time manage and prioritize on own initiative.
  • Familiarity and experience with insurance claims and legislative policies and medical terminology in order to read and review reports and communicate intelligently with physicians and clients is an asset.
  • Fluent command of the English language, written and oral. 
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team 
  • Relevant experience in IME work is an asset 
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, attention to detail. 
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently. 
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team -oriented environment. 
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to write clearly and informatively to all required audiences and edit own work for appropriate spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to all inquiries or complaints from clients, physicians, upper management, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.
